We’re proud to share that Blackpool’s Early Help Service, Health Visiting and Neonatal Units has achieved UNICEF UK’s Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) accreditation.
To meet UNICEF’s rigorous standards, the services must demonstrate that they prioritise evidence-based practices in infant feeding, promoting breastfeeding, and ensuring families receive consistent, compassionate care.
Our Senior Development Manager, Vicki Morgan commented on this accomplishment: ‘BFI accreditation fosters a culture of support across healthcare settings, early years services, and public health programmes – empowering parents with informed choices, reducing health inequalities and strengthening trust in local services’
The accreditation ultimately recognises Blackpool’s commitment to supporting and championing healthier outcomes for babies, parents, and the wider community.
We can help your area build a shared vison and commitment across senior leaders, practitioners and community to transform your early years system.
