School Ready Programme
Through working co-productively with those with lived experience and professionals a set of nine school readiness behaviours have been developed for Blackpool. These have been delivered through a range of printed and digital resources, modelling and coaching.
Each child across the town for the last 7 years has been gifted a School Readiness Book and checklist through their school, for parents to use with their child at home. This is supported by a social media campaign that models these behaviours.
Working with schools in more deprived areas, children are also invited to School Readiness Groups where these behaviours are modelled, and parents are coached to support learning at home.
